Showdown 3

One of the things we appreciate about Take-On's Showdown series is a surprising aspect, that it's a bit of a troop to get to. The venue is located 15-min walk from the end of the 7 Train line in Flushing, Queens – meaning that if you're not from Queens and you don't have wheels, it's a mission. The experience, for us at least, is similar to training hard knowing that there's a justifiable payoff at the end. Showdown 3 delivered yet again.

Tony Manoharan's display was all class. Confident in his abilities and composure under pressure resulted in the TKO over the resilient Eric Ruiz. Nick Vaughan's decision over Preston Baptiste was a very close match, both landed big blows and wowed the crowd. Jay Matias looked amazingly calm and poised against Javier Vongphet, applying constant and steady pressure throughout the bout.
