Friday Night Fights 2/19/10

This was the shortest fightcard we've seen from the Friday Night Fights NYC series, we thought it might have been a printing error. Seven bouts total? We then found out two of the seven bouts weren't even going to happen, one of the fighters had difficulty making weight and another had difficulty getting into the country. Given these circumstances, one could easily have their doubts about the event itself.

Our skepticism was quickly eliminated once the first bell was rung. We can easily say that this event was one of the most intense and skillfully action-packed events we've ever had the opportunity to appreciate ringside. Much like fighters strategically getting more aggressive towards the end of each round, each bout proved to be even more dramatic and dynamic than the last.

Notable bouts included Tarrant vs. Hillman, a really tight matchup going the distance with Tarrant earning the unanimous decision. The young and hungry Sacha Hijazi surprised many by giving the experienced Chris Romulo a solid run for his money, experience finding the KO win in the 5th. Canadian Gabe Varga offered an inspirational display over the tough and powerful Justin Greskiewicz, a fantastic addition to his budding professional career record.
